About Angora Rabbits
The Most Comprehensive Angora Rabbit Resource for The Owners
AngoraRabbits.com exists for one reason: to give every Angora rabbit owner, prospective owner, and fiber enthusiast the most accurate, most detailed, and most practical information available anywhere online.
We do not publish content to fill pages. We research every topic thoroughly, cite credible sources, and write with the real needs of rabbit owners in mind — whether you are caring for your first English Angora or managing a working fiber herd of twenty animals.
Who We Are
AngoraRabbits.com is published by the Sadiq family — a household of dedicated rabbit keepers who have lived with Angora rabbits across multiple breeds and every stage of ownership.
Our hands-on experience spans multiple breeds and multiple years, covering every aspect of ownership — from setting up the first hutch and working through early grooming mistakes, to understanding wool harvesting cycles, managing rabbit health proactively, and selecting animals for breeding programs.
We built this site because the information we needed when we started was scattered, incomplete, or simply wrong. We decided to fix that.
What We Cover
AngoraRabbits.com is organized into six content areas, each researched and written to the depth that Angora rabbit owners actually need:
Breed and Biology — English, French, Giant, Satin, German, Dwarf, and Lionhead Angora breeds are covered in full, including temperament, size, lifespan, and physical characteristics.
Care and Health — Grooming schedules, diet and nutrition, wool block prevention, dental health, common diseases, and lifespan optimization — all written with veterinary sources cited.
Fiber and Fleece — Wool harvesting techniques, fiber grades, spinning fundamentals, blending, yield expectations, and how to sell raw fleece or finished yarn.
Housing and Setup — Hutch design, bedding selection, indoor versus outdoor housing, temperature management, and seasonal care across US climates.
Breeding and Raising — Mating, gestation, kindling, kit care, weaning, genetics, and building a herd from the ground up.
Products and Equipment — Honest, research-backed reviews of grooming tools, cages, hay, pellets, spinning wheels, and every product category an Angora owner encounters — with verified Amazon ratings and current pricing included.
Our Editorial Standards
Every article published on AngoraRabbits.com is held to the following standards.
We identify a clear focus keyword before writing begins. We research what competing content exists and where the gaps are. We cite primary sources — government agencies, veterinary bodies, and recognized industry organizations — before turning to secondary sources. We embed verified outbound links and internal links to related articles throughout every piece we publish.
We do not publish unsupported health claims. We do not recommend veterinary treatments without advising readers to consult a licensed veterinarian. Every article on this site is governed by our full editorial policy, which explains exactly how content is researched, written, reviewed, and updated.
If you want to understand how we make money, our affiliate disclosure explains our relationship with Amazon and other partners in plain language. If you have a question about how we handle your data, our privacy policy covers that in full.
A Note on Veterinary Advice
AngoraRabbits.com provides educational information for rabbit owners. Nothing on this site constitutes veterinary advice. If your rabbit is unwell, injured, or showing signs of distress, please contact a licensed veterinarian — ideally one with exotic animal or small mammal experience.
The House Rabbit Society maintains a directory of rabbit-savvy veterinarians at rabbit.org. The American Rabbit Breeders Association publishes breed standards and breeder resources at arba.net.
Why Rabbit Owners Trust This Site
There is no shortage of rabbit content online. There is, however, a significant shortage of Angora-specific content written to a consistent standard, maintained with current information, and organized so that readers can move from one topic to the next without losing context. That is the gap AngoraRabbits.com was built to fill.
We publish new content regularly. We update existing articles when standards change, when new products enter the market, or when reader questions reveal gaps in our coverage. If you have a topic you want covered, use our contact page and we will consider it for a future article.
