About Angora Rabbits

Angora Rabbits is a free, independent guide to Angora rabbit breeds, grooming, wool care, diet and health, written for owners and future owners. It is run by Lushah Digital Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Why this site exists

Angora rabbits are beautiful, gentle and famously fluffy, and they are also one of the most demanding rabbits to care for. Their wool needs regular care, and mistakes can quickly turn into health problems. Good information is scattered across breed club pages, old forum threads and product listings. We built Angora Rabbits to bring the facts together in one friendly place, with a link to the source for each one.

Who we are

The site is edited by Shahzad Sadiq, founder of Lushah Digital Inc. We are researchers and writers, not breeders or veterinarians, and we do not currently keep Angora rabbits ourselves. So instead of relying on personal opinion, we check what we publish against breed clubs such as the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA), the National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club and IAGARB, and against veterinary and welfare sources such as the PDSA and the House Rabbit Society.

How we work

  • Our guides link the sources we used, so you can check them for yourself. We are working through older guides to bring them up to this standard.
  • If we cannot find a reliable source for a claim, we leave it out.
  • Updated guides show a “Last reviewed” date.
  • We never give medical advice. For any health concern, we point you to a rabbit-savvy vet.
