In short: Angora Rabbits is run by Lushah Digital Inc., a company based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. We collect very little: anonymous visit statistics (only if you agree to cookies), what you type into our contact form, and comments you choose to post. We do not sell your personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we never ask for payment details. Purchases you make through our affiliate links happen on the retailer’s website, under their privacy policy.
Service providers we use
- Hostinger hosts this website and keeps server logs.
- Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, measures visits, but only after you accept statistics cookies. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Google privacy policy.
- Google Fonts delivers the fonts on this site, which means your browser connects to Google servers and shares your IP address with Google. Google privacy policy.
- Amazon Associates. When you click an Amazon link, Amazon may set cookies to record that you came from us. We never receive your name or what else you buy. Amazon privacy notice.
- Complianz, a WordPress plugin that runs on our own server, shows the cookie banner and stores your choice.
- Google reCAPTCHA protects our contact form from spam. It runs on the contact page and sends information about your device and how you use the page to Google. Google privacy policy.
We do not show third-party display ads at this time. If that changes, we will update this policy and our Cookie Policy first, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share information only with the service providers listed above, and only so they can provide their service to us, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep information
- Contact form messages and emails: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Comments: for as long as the comment is published. Spam is deleted.
- Google Analytics data: no more than 14 months, then deleted automatically.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months, then we ask again.
- Server logs: kept by our web host under its own retention schedule.
Where your information is processed
We are based in Canada. Our service providers, including Google and Hostinger, may process information in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws from yours. Where the GDPR applies, these transfers rely on safeguards such as adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- see the personal information we hold about you and get a copy
- ask us to correct or delete it
- withdraw your consent at any time, for example by changing your cookie settings
- object to or restrict how we use it
- complain to a privacy regulator
In Canada, these rights come from the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). In the EU and UK, they come from the GDPR. Some US states, such as California, give similar rights. To use any of these rights, email info@angorabbits.com. We will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the data protection authority where you live.
Children
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). If you think a child has sent us personal information, email info@angorabbits.com and we will delete it.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run the site. No website can be completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive information through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
